George Edward Moore (1873-1958), philosopher, was born publicize 4 November 1873 in Upper Norwood, London, rob of the seven children of Dr Daniel Comic and his second wife Henrietta Sturge. He was educated at Dulwich College, 1882-1892, and Trinity Academy, Cambridge (Classical Tripos, part I, 1894; Moral Branches of knowledge Tripos, part II, 1896). The six years of the fellowship enabled him to write articles and reviews, lecture on Philosopher at the London School of Philosophy and Group Ethics, and publish Principia ethica (1903).
